Within the chorus we encourage the formation of quartets. It is a well known fact that the more members of a chorus that are involved in quartets, the greater will be the quality of the chorus as a whole. Becoming a member of a quartet allows one to improve vocal techniques and to have fun with three other friends. The FourTune Seekers are one such quartet which is developing their singing talents while sharing their love of harmony.
At Christmas time,we made the season bright by singing for the Edwardian Tea at the Fulford Mansion, a Red Hat Dinner at the Brockville Country Club, the Cardinal Legion's Seniors' Party and for SAIL in Gananoque as well as delivering Christmas greetings for a local dentist. We have performed Singing Valentines, at CPHC (formerly VON) luncheons and church anniversaries. The FourTune Seekers are delighted to perform ballads, show tunes and gospel songs for your organization or to bring musical greetings for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries.
"The FourTune Seekers performed an outstanding Valentine's set at the the Wedgewood Retirement Resort in Brockville. The residents commented on their unity, positive presence and vocal precision. We look forward to hearing them again soon."
Parnie Nolan, Activities Manager
Four chorus members came together for an in-house quartet competition and realized that they liked spending time together whether they are singing or just sharing the latest news in their hectic lives. In the "outside world" they are employed in bridal wear, chemical operation, engineering consulting and accounting. In the world of barbershop they are Gina(baritone), Chris(bass), Karen (lead), and Beth (tenor). These four busy women come together twice a month to share both laughter and music (often in that order). They share a common love of music, a cappella in particular, and agree that the only thing better than good friends to laugh with are those you can sing with as well!
